Status Update

As far as I know I'm still at my highest weight ever even though I've been exercising regularly for 5 1/2 weeks. (Since December 20th.) Unfortunately "regularly" has been an average of 3 days a week when my goal is 5. I haven't weighed myself in almost 2 weeks, and I'm afraid to because my clothes don't feel any looser.

I've decided that I'm not allowed to weigh myself again until I've exercised 5 days a week for 2 weeks straight. Maybe that will finally make the scale move a little bit. I hope.

30-Day Shred: Level 1

Notes: We're having pizza tonight, so today's exercise is only good for strength training and useless for calorie burning except to put a small dent in what I'll eat tonight.

I was starting to get tired of hearing Jillian say the same thing and being able to finish her sentences, so I muted the TV and put on my own music during the 30-Day Shred. It helped my motivation!

Notes: Tried exercising first thing in the morning. I may institute a new rule: no computer until I've exercised. That might give me motivation. I should probably also just make myself put on my workout clothes first thing in the morning, whether or not I think I have the energy to work out. It's much easier to motivate myself to get on the bike once I have them on.

After the holidays, I hit my highest weight ever. I'm starting this blog to record my progress and help me stay on track. I will probably also post about personal things related to my self image.

Goals & Rewards
145 pounds - Know I'm capable of losing weight
140 pounds - Fit into my good jeans again
135 pounds - Look much better and feel more comfortable in my body
130 pounds - Evaluate my fitness to see if this is a good goal weight. Buy more clothes and look good in them!
