Exercise Log

Stationary bike: 30 minutes

Unofficial weigh in: I gained a whole pound since yesterday. Ugh. Got to my 30 minute minimum goal even though my legs were tired and it was more difficult than usual. Here's hoping I lose that pound I gained by the end of the week...just in time to gain it back and then some when I go out to eat on Friday night.

Food: Bad. Was doing good until the evening. Had a yogurt thing from Costco and some chips with hummus.

Didn't go anywhere this weekend so didn't have a chance to eat badly! Ate sensibly at home.

Weight as of 3/15/11: 156.4
Weight at start 12/20/10: 151.4

I have no idea why the scale is suddenly going backward, since I was gaining last week even though I was eating well and exercising. Not complaining, though!

I've gained almost 3 pounds in the last month, even though I've been working out really consistently. I need to start paying more attention to food. I don't know why else I would be failing so miserably. I'm sick of looking and feeling like this.

No exercise today. Went to a doctor's appointment in the morning and didn't want to have to shower and do makeup a second time. Only exercise today was getting lost at the hospital and walking a decent way between the car and the office. We'll also walk a ways from the parking structure to Quiz tonight, but we're also planning on having dinner there.

Strength: I made up my own short routine with my 5 pound weights since I lacked the motivation to get out the workout DVDs.

Weigh-In

After going from not exercising at all for several months to exercising regularly for about two months, I have GAINED about a pound! I know I didn't eat well on Saturday, but I should have lost at least a pound overall! What the heck is the point of even doing this? Clearly I am not physically capable of losing weight. I'm just going to continue to gain and I'll be forced to accept that I'm going to be a fat chick my whole life. Frak.

See the trend? Exercise makes me fat! Or maybe just being me makes me fat. I'm SO MAD!!!!

Even though I've been doing pretty well with exercise recently, I've been doing badly with eating. On Monday I plan to weigh myself for the first time in a month, but I'm afraid my eating habits will have caused me to lose little or no weight, or even to have gained weight.

Status Update

As far as I know I'm still at my highest weight ever even though I've been exercising regularly for 5 1/2 weeks. (Since December 20th.) Unfortunately "regularly" has been an average of 3 days a week when my goal is 5. I haven't weighed myself in almost 2 weeks, and I'm afraid to because my clothes don't feel any looser.

I've decided that I'm not allowed to weigh myself again until I've exercised 5 days a week for 2 weeks straight. Maybe that will finally make the scale move a little bit. I hope.

Notes: We're having pizza tonight, so today's exercise is only good for strength training and useless for calorie burning except to put a small dent in what I'll eat tonight.

I was starting to get tired of hearing Jillian say the same thing and being able to finish her sentences, so I muted the TV and put on my own music during the 30-Day Shred. It helped my motivation!

Notes: Tried exercising first thing in the morning. I may institute a new rule: no computer until I've exercised. That might give me motivation. I should probably also just make myself put on my workout clothes first thing in the morning, whether or not I think I have the energy to work out. It's much easier to motivate myself to get on the bike once I have them on.
